Center stands are an age-old utilitarian feature found on a myriad of many vintage, modern, and large sophisticated motorcycles & scooters. The basic purpose of a center stand serves to enhance ownership experience by easily raising the rear wheel completely off the ground for drive chain lubrication and adjusting, tire & tube patching/replacement and even FRONT wheel work. Those fortunate enough to have owned a motorcycle equipped with a center stand have come to learn the game-changing role it can play -even off-road.

When in use, this kit raises your rear tire 3/4" off the ground. When retracted, the stand tucks away, 100% unobtrusive to the rider and passenger. A robust retention spring ensures the stand remains retracted, even on the roughest trails.
Each kit comes with all hardware and detailed instructions. All parts are powder coated black with a fine texture(aesthetically similar to Renthal or Pro taper handlebar shot peened look).
FAQ:
1.) If center stands are so awesome, why didn't my T-dub provide a center stand from the factory?
Two reasons: It's not a necessity and it increases production cost. A side stand is sufficient for most people. Seasoned motorcyclists will tell you a center stand is worth its weight. This kit happens to weigh just 4 lbs.
2.) Will I lose ground clearance?
No, this kit has been engineered to retain the factory 10.4" of ground clearance and will not interfere with normal side stand use. Both the center stand and side stand operate independently of each other.
3.) What modifications, if any, will it take to install one of these on my TW?
In order to install this kit, you'll need to remove the stock (or aftermarket) skid plate if so equipped. You'll also need to remove the factory skid plate wire mount on the main 1" bottom frame tube by way of a hammer, hack saw, or angle grinder. Most used bikes with aftermarket skid plates (i.e. Ricochet) installed already have this mod completed. Once the center stand kit is installed additional clearancing to the skid plate is required for re-installation.
4.) Will this kit work with my oversized tire? NO. This kit will only work with a stock sized rear tire.
